Jay Bull the Pilot

7th June 2014

Hi to all who have followed Jay - we have to applogise for not updating this website - it has been a long time and you are probably wondering about Jay.
Well, his website still says he is 14 years old , wow, yes it has been a long time - Jay has just turned 19 years old and what a wonderful handsome boy he is.
If you have read Jay's journal you will know that his dream was to always become a pilot - well guess what? Jay is now a pilot and very soon you may see him as your captain on a flight. He is a very smart boy and has worked hard at University and still studying hard at University to complete the dream. He loves being in the air, everday he just wants to fly and that is what he does do most days.
Again I am sorry we have not been on hear. I am trying to find someone in Australia who will make a new website for Jay so we can continue Jay's Journey.
As for his NEUROBLASTOMA well he so far has kicked it's butt and defied all odds and is doing great.

JAY - Cancer battler/Survivor

My Name is JAY - I have NEUROBLASTOMA it dosn't have me - and this is to those horrible people out there who do not believe you when you tell them I battle Cancer and have done for a long time. There are some people in this world who just do not have a heart and they don't care about what a diagnosis of Cancer does to your life, not just my life but to my wonderful mums life. Cancer changes your life forever, not just health wise, but financially is destroys. There are companies out there who are worth Millions who don't care about the stress they put on my mum and don't have one bit of heart in them, all they want is for their comany to get richer and the ones' who struggle like me and my mum they do everything in their power to make our lives worse than what it is and all they want is to bring the battlers down.
I am writing this because I am sick and tired of people like these companies not believing I battle cancer and they want proof. To be honest I don't have to prove anything to anyone and my medical history is nothing to do with you big nobs who like to rip people off.
All my wonderful friends from around the world know exactly what I have gone through and it is people like them who stick by me. It is people like the big rich companies who need to take a walk through the cancer wards of hospitals to see what Cancer does to the life of a family and maybe give some of your millions to a cancer charity instead of threating a family like mine.

I have not only battled Neuroblastoma, I have also got through my schooling as a high achiever and I am now on my journey to my dream of becoming a pilot, but becoming a pilot takes money, something my mum and I don't have. But, with the determination I have in life, I will get a place at University in Aviation and somehow will come up with the money I need to make my dream come tru. Flying lessons are out because my mum just doens't have the money which alows me to go flying (flyng is not a cheap thing). My mum has done everything for me through out my cancer journey and she has done her best, but I know it has ruined her financially and it is hard when companies just don't understand when you can't pay a bill and then they try their best to make your life worse than what it is. Have a heart you lot, my mum is broke, you can't get blood from a stone and you are stressing my mum out a lot. Go jump, get a heart and go after the rich people who get a way with everything instead of picking on the battlers.

I could go on and on, but I wont because these horrible people are not worth my time.

The man who saved my life (Doctor Peter Downie - Oncology doctor)
OH YES - one more thing you unbelievers - IM NOT CUT IN HALF FOR NO REASON I am cut entirely in half, I have a scar which goes from my belly button right around my entire body and it is not there just because I have nothing wrong - it is there because a massive turmor NEUROBLASTOMA was taken out.

JAY BULL
Please go to my guestbook and leave a NICE message
You can also find me and my mum on facebook .

April 2012 (Jay & mum)

JAY - April 2012 - nearly 17
Hi everyone,

This is Jay's mum, we want to apologize for not being on here for a long time, it was out of our control. The people who created this website are not allowing me to get into certain things and change and update things hence Jay's website is still saying he is 14 years old and there are a lot of photo's I wish to be updated but are unable to .

Jay is coming up to his 17th Birthday (wow) and they said he would never make it, he is 6ft 2 and very very handsome. Jay is in year 12 here in Australia which is his VCE year, his last year of school. Jay has his learners permit so is now aloud to drive, you can't get your license in Australia until you are 18 years old, so he still has another year to wait.

I have been very busy doing IRONMAN and just completed the Melbourne IronMan Asia Pacific Championships in my home town and now training for next year.

Jay and myself are on facebook, you can keep up with us there, I do not allow Jay to accept friends until I take a look and approve them.

You can find my facebook under Bron Bull.

JAY & Dr.Peter Downie (July 2011)

Hi everyone, I am fine and sorry for not being around much, just had a lot of things on especially school where I am doing VCE .
I just had my MRI Scan done, which was the same as usual, so I have certainly shown you can beat Neuroblastoma.

Above the photo is of me and my Oncology Doctor - Dr. Peter Downie, the man who saved my life.
I would not be here if it were not for Peter. He has watched me grow and now I am so much taller than he is (so funny). It's nice to say thanks' to the person who saved my life and I will always be grateful to Peter for everything he has done for me. Peter is head of Oncology kids cancer centre at Monash Medical Centre Clayton, and he specialises if solid tumors mainly being Neuroblastoma.
Above - me just waiting to have my MRI SCAN, I have had so many I am use to it, I think this scan would have been about number 50 or 60, I can't really remember.

I have not been doing a lot, only school work, because I am doing year 12 which is VCE, so it is full on exams and work work work. I did get myself a job, which is great, I only do a few shifts a week but I am really enjoying it.

My darlsy mum, did the IRONMAN in Cairns in June, which is a 3k swim, 120k bike ride and run a Marathon of 42k, she loves it and is doing another in December of this.

I am now 16 years old (I know my website says I am 13 still but we can't change it) so just letting you know I am 16 and I have my learners permit as well, so I have been driving darlsy mum everywhere.

Please sign my guest book so I know you have visited

BROKE MY ARM (RADIUS & ULNA)

My new prosthetic molded cast put on after I saw the Orthopedic Surgeon on the 9th Sept.....the cast below you can see was the worst cast the Orthopedic has ever seen and was appalled at how it was put on, it was put on incorrectly bending my wrist in a position it should not have been, so the Orthopedic sent me to get this new Prosthetic molded cast, it's great, I can adjust it as the swelling goes down. It will be on for at least another 4 weeks.

G'DAY EVERYONE

Sorry it has been a long time since I did a journal, but there has been a lot going on in my life and darlsy mums and the computer has been the last thing on my mine. I do appreciate everyone's concern for me and I am here to tell you I"m ok...................well sort of.
I broke my arm on the weekend, I broke the Ulna and the Radius in my left arm and it hurt a lot.
I was on camp with Camp Quality up at Mt. Hotham SNOWBOARDING when a bit of a storm came through whilst I was at the top of the mountain, a big wind gust got me a threw me side ways and the wind blew the snow away and I landed on hard ice..........ouch.
The snow patrol took me down the mountain to the Medical Center where they did an X-Ray on my arm and gave me pain killers.
Camp Quality phoned my darlsy mum and my mum and a friend drove up the next morning to Mt. Hotham to get me, the round trip took 9 hours, it is a very long drive from where we live and by the time we got back from Mt.Hotham it was 3 pm and mum took me to the Hospital.

Above is in the hospital near where we live, they had just put a temporary cast on my arm, it is split up each side, it is temporary until I see the Orthopedic Surgeon on Thursday 9th September.
Above is the doctor who had just put the cast on and is cutting each side because my arm is still swollen.
Above, I am in quite a bit of pain here, not exactly nice breaking both bones in your arm.
ABOVE feeling a little sore right now, some pain killers would be great, hopefully will let me sleep as I have had no sleep at all due to the pain.
As I said, I am going to the Orthopedic Surgeon on Thursday (the one who did my mums spinal surgery) he is nice, so I will know more then.
Again I am sorry for worrying everyone, because I have been gone so long, and I hope this will help you knowing that I am sort of OK (lol).
When I get the use of both arms back I will definitely do a better update for you all (very hard to type with one hand only - gets a bit tiring).
Please remember to go to my GUEST BOOK and sign it so that I know you have visited me.
