Jay in Hospital 2nd to 7th May

JAY'S 14th BIRTHDAY is on SUNDAY 24th MAY
JAY HOSPITAL SICK

Hi everyone, it's Jay's darlsy mum.....well it has been a tough week for the little man, Jay has not been well and in hospital from the 2nd May and was released on the 7th and keeping an eye on him at home. I wont write alot here just let the pictures do the talking, but I have put the photos in an order of very sick to down the bottom feeling at bit better. Just to let you know, Jay became very sick on Saturday, he just wanted to sleep and then the high temperatures began along with the continual vomiting and diareah. I kept an eye on him and was not happy when his temperatures would not go below 40 so I took him to the emergency department. Cut a long story short he was in emergency all day and they put him on a drip and then when it got to 5pm they said he could go home. Well I questioned that, and said I don't think he is right to go home but they were adamant that he was OK. We had just driven up the driveway and Jay said hurry up darlsy, hurry up and open the door I'm going to be sick. He then went down hill from there and it got to 7pm and I rang an ambulance, and when we got back to the hospital the same doctor and nurse was there and I said, see I told you so, told you he was not right and you should have got it right in the first place. So their mistake left Jay in hospital for a week.

Above and the below 2 pictures are the first attempt of coming to the emergency department and was put on a drip.

The below pics are when I had to bring him back to emergency in an ambulance, he was twice as sick as when I brought him in the first time and was continually vomiting, temperatures above 40, diareah and was stuck on another drip

Jay was in the emergency ward which is the photo's above until 2am in the morning when they then transferred him up to the children's ward which are the photo's below. Because he is so tall, some of the nurses where questioning him coming into the children's' ward - I said for god sake he is a child he is 13 years old, not yet 14 and just because he is tall and can't fit in the bed doesn't mean he is not a child - at this stage I was exhausted and could not put up with anymore crap from the hospital staff. Poor Jay, he is 6ft tall and doesn't fit in the beds, he is too long for them so it was very uncomfortable.

As you can see in some of the photo's PORKA is along for the ride, yes he goes everywhere and is nearly 14 years old and been through everything Jay has.

Just starting to feel a little better but not quite right - I brought in some DVD's he could watch on the portable DVD player they had - the only DVD's they had was kids one's like the wiggles, high 5 which Jay has now grown out of so I went home and grabbed the one's he likes to watch.

A smile at last - although not back to 100% it was time to get out of this hospital and go home where Jay is resting and trying to get back to normal (what's normal). Trying to get some food into him as he has not eaten anything since being in hospital and he can't afford to lose weight, he is very tall and very thin, not alot of him so gotta try get the nutrients back into his body.
Thank you everyone for your concern about Jay, he is a trooper and as always will defy the odds and bounce back, he is a determined young man and doesn't let anything bring him down. Always positive with lots of strength as sick as he was he was not going to let him get him for too long. I was so worried, so many thought run through my mind, if you don't have a child with cancer you would not know or understand what I'm talking about, but it is scary, very scary.
Please don't forget to stop by Jay's GUESTBOOK and leave Jay a message, he loves to see your messages which pick him up alot.
