JAY'S scans 9th September 2009
G'day everyone - I'm really sorry it has been such a long time since I have done an update, but this year really has not been a good one for my darsly and me. I have been sick most of it, and there has been alot of other things going on and I have not been able to get to my website to do an update. But Im back and uploaded the photo's of me on the 9Th September at the Hospital having my MRI SCAN. Please make sure that when you get to the bottom of the page you will see a short video of me having a scan - this is just a 2 minute video but the scan took 3 hours. As you can see by the photo above my little porka is still with me every step of the way - porka is 14 years old just like me and has been to every single hospital visit and through the MRI scanner as many times as I have. The above photo is me and porka just waiting to have my scan.
Above is David - he is very special to me as David has been there from day one when I was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. David has done all my scans and has watched me grow. We took this photo because David did not believe that I would be taller than him the next time I came in for my scan - well I proved him wrong - I am taller than him.
Time for the dreaded needle (doesn't really hurt) it is given to highlight areas when they are scanning.
Takes a little while to set up , have to be patient - I have been laying here having scans for over an hour now so my back is feeling a little sore.
After the needle is done then I'm in the room on my own for another 2 hours (oh I have porka) to keep me company and some music because the machine is very loud and being in here for 3 hours listening to that bang bang bang would drive anyone crazy.
ALLAN helping out

Allan has also been with me since I was diagnosed - he is a really nice man and he has also watched me grow up (yep taller than him as well) - I hardly fit on the slider anymore because I'm too long.
We did a few different ways of scanning this time - as you can see in the above picture I am now going in feet first, this is so they can scan my chest alot more thorough.
Below is my 2 minute video of me having my scan. I have already been in the scanner for 2 hours and have another hour to go. We cant video it while having it, my darsly just videoed while I was having a break and they were giving me needle. As soon as that was done the door is shut and no one can come in.
JAY'S MRI SCAN - 9th SEPT 2009
I have to go back to my Oncology doctor next Wednesday 16th September to get my results so I will let everyone know as soon as I get them. Please don't forget to go and sign my guestbook and leave me a message because I love to know you have visited me and I miss you all.
