G'DAY it's JAY
The Survivor Movie(Who I am a True Survivor)

G'day all my friends - it's been a week or so since I have done an up date, sorry about that but being school holidays still here in Australia and being the last week we have had a few things happening and also trying to get all my school things ready for the start of New School Year down under. See the photo above that is my new school uniform (starting Secondary school year 7 in on Wednesday 31st January) and I cant' wait to go back to school.
The weather here has been very hot and this week we got a little bit of relief with a couple of cooler days.
Friday 26th was Australia Day here, where we celebrate everything Australian and what it means to us and I am a very proud Australian and I know we live in the best Country in the world - I am proud to call Australia Home.
During the holidays I have not done a lot of things but have managed to put in a few good things in between tackling my headaches and leg pain and being sick. It doesn't get me down for too long and I get out and try to make the most of everyday.
People say to me how can you go out and ride a bike, run, go to beach and always have a smile when you don't feel well. I answer that by saying I do all that because I CAN, just because you have an illness doesn't mean you stop living your life - I have a saying: -
***
"YOU DON'T HAVE TO ACHIEVE EXTRAORDINARY THINGS"
"GETTING THROUGH THE DAY IS AN AMAZING FEAT IN IT'S SELF"
***
I believe you can get through anything in life no matter what the challenge and that is what I do every day of my life because I have been given a second chance at life even though it is tough I do my best each day to get through that day and I am very proud I can do that and if that is Riding my bike, running, rollerblading, playing with my friends, swimming then I will do it and I wont let anyone tell me I can't because I CAN. Also my darsly mum has the same determination and strength I have in life, there was someone out there who criticized my Darsly mum and said well if you have had spinal surgery then why can you ride a bike and do other things. Well I say to that person that my darsly mum also does things because she can and she also does them whilst in a lot of pain and she does them for me. If you are going to sit back and let an injury an illness bring you down, then it will, if you have a positive attitude and you are strong and determined then you can achieve anything. Most people who have had a major spinal surgery like my amazing darsly mum would probably be sitting back feeling sorry for them selves, we don't believe in doing that, we get out and we push beyond the boundaries and I am proud of my darsly mum, she is so determined - she is doing things that the average person would not be doing and she is walking, something the surgeons said is amazing in itself. We are very close darsly and me and we help each other through all the tough times we have, we have a positive outlook on life and we love to defy everything doctors say we can't do - we like to prove we can do it. I also on many days have a lot of pain, but I push through it and I don't let it bring me down. The tough times me and darsly go through are not seen by others but they are there, but with the love we have and the determination we both have we always get on with it with a smile each and everyday. To those out there who are sitting back feeling sorry for yourself, just remember it doesn't have to be that way - if a doctor says you can't do something then you get out there and you prove them wrong because it can be done no matter what.
**Cancer is my secret** because none close friends have have come close to death and it makes you look at the world in a different light and if you ever get a second chance in life you have to go all the way and make the most of it.

When I am sick I don't want to die & I don't want to lose at anything
Dying and losing are the same thing
IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN TO ME
***
Visit Shannon Noll & you can hear all his wonderful songs
My mate Shannon, he keeps me going - when I am sick I listen to his music and I think of the time he spent with me and the wonderful gift he gave me and he makes me feel so much better. Each time I play my drums I think of what a wonderful person Shannon is. There definitely are not many celebrities out there like Shannon.
I know it is hard for people to understand why meeting someone like Shannon means so much to me - the only way I can answer that is to say - if you have ever had to fight for your life, if you have ever been close to dying, if you have ever fought so hard agains cancer then you would understand why a person like Shannon means so much to me. Shannon is my HERO who I have followed from day one on Australian Idol, from that day Shannon never changed, he was always a down to earth person (with all the fame he has now) he is still that wonderful down to earth person and if it was not for his music I don't know how I would have got through some very tough times and then getting to meet him that was the highlight of my life and I know I will always have a friend in Shannon. For a kid with cancer like me, getting to meet your hero means a lot (I got to meet mine) but a lot of kids don't get that opportunity. So for those of you out there who don't have cancer and have not experienced it at all in your life - please know us kids go through a lot and we deserve just a bit of excitement in our life because we may never get that opportunity again. Shannon you are my best mate & my HERO.

Me (Jay & Darlsy mum)
During the holidays between headaches and sickness I got to have some great fun with my darsly mum. Yep - me joking around again. Darlsy and I were having a day at the beach and I stuck a Milky way chocolate bar in my mouth (darsly did not know) and got someone to take a photo of us - HA HA got you again darsly - poor darsly, she wanted a nice photo and I did this to the photo (pretty cool though he) and funny. So if you are wondering what is in my mouth - don't fear - it is CHOCOLATE
ME (JAY & DARSLY MUM) going on a bike ride

On Australia Day the sun was shining so Darlsy and I went for a bike ride along the track near where we live. (Darlsy mum had just a little break because her back was hurting a bit so I took a photo). The bike track where we live goes for kilometers so it is a great ride and darsly and I had lots of fun.

Me (JAY and my wonderful dog Snowflake)

My dog Snowflake is the world to me and I don't know what I will do without her. She is tiny and cute and the best medicine in the world. She plays with me lots of games - she is like having a brother (as I don't have any brothers or sisters) I play lots of games with Snowflake.
Who are these two CLOWNS
It's me (JAY & my mate Keegan)

We had just been on a day out with "CAMP QUALITY" - we went to IMAX theatre to see OPEN SEASON in 3D. It was great and so funny. We also got to go to the Museum. We got these silly clown hats so being the clowns we are we put them on (Hope it makes you laugh a bit) . I don't take life to seriously, I like to joke around and laugh and have fun - that is what life is all about and you should all try it some say because LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE.

My WRISTBANDS/T-SHIRTS Thank you so much to all the people in AUSTRALIA who are buying my wristbands it means a lot to me because raising money for NEUROBLASTOMA research and finding a cure means everything to me. Having to battle NEUROBLASTOMA is a nightmare and we can only stop this cancer if we can find a cure so no more children have to suffer. To explain to those out there what it is like to battle this monster - well I the way I describe it is it is like having a little PAC MAN inside you eating away at you very fast and very aggressively and this little Pac Man needs to be stopped because it is killing too many innocent lives. My way of helping is to sell my wristbands and T - Shirts. I am running low on stock and will be ordering more (as it costs me and my darsly) to have more made we do that with our own money (even though it is difficult) we want to get the awareness out there and sell as many as we can - so the more orders we get the more we can raise and we are one step closer to finding a cure and one step closer to saving a life like mine.

For those of you in Australia only

Wristbands - $5.00 each plus $5.oo postage

Adult T - Shirts - $30.oo each plus $5.00 postage

Kids T - Shirts - $25.oo each plus $5.00 postage

Payment by Money Order - made out to JAY BULL (T-Shirt/Wristband)

P.O. BOX 2075 Fountain Gate 3805 - Melbourne - Victoria - Australia

All money raised by me selling my T-Shirts and Wristbands and me also doing Try Athlons - goes to NEUROBLASTOMA RESEARCH to find a cure so no more children like me have to suffer.

Thank you to all my supporters - I love you all - please know that your support means a lot to me and it gets me through those bad days when I don't feel so good. You see the smiling happy person and I always try to be like that each day - but you don't see the behind the scenes and I am sure that only parents with kids with cancer know what I am talking about. Not every day is a good day, but I try to make it good no matter what - please you all do the same. NEVER GIVE UP - GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION and keep a SMILE ON THE DILE (face) every day.

I have some great things to tell you all during the week - and I am looking forward telling you all about my first day at Secondary School. This weekend 3rd January I am running in the TRY ATHLON so I will be telling you all about that and some other great things.

Please don't for get to go visit my Guest Book and leave me a message, I love to receive nice messages it really makes my day and it is nice to know you visited.

JAY & SHANNON NOLL - his gift from the heart

THANK YOU SHANNON

*****

G'DAY it's JAY

G'day everyone - WOW I could not believe it - SHANNON NOLL bought me a DRUM KIT for Christmas. I still now can't believe he did this for me. It sure does show the type of person Shannon is (he is kind, caring, funny and my best mate and a real person with a heart).

When I was in Sydney spending the day with Shannon and receiving my brave heart award Shannon and I were talking and he asked me - "do you play any instruments Jay" - I said yes I play the drums - he said to me - wow that's great you must do a lot of practicing - I said to him well I can't practice that much I just practice on four pillows and then the conversation went onto something else. Then Shannon said to darsly mum and me - I will be back in a minute. Now I did not know anything until I received the drum kit but darsly told me that when Shannon said he would be back in a minute he went a way and had a little cry because he was upset I had to play on four pillows.

Anyway, when it was time for Shannon to go he called my darsly mum over and he was speaking to her and she started to cry and Shannon gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheak (I had no idea what it was all about) all I new was Shannon and darsly mum had a secret and I did not know what it was. For over a month I was at darsly to tell me what the secret was and she would not tell me - it was not until I received the drum kit that is when I found out the secret and I got this great gift from Shannon for Christmas.

I started to get very suspicious, I came home from school and my toy room had a lock on it, I could not get into the room to play with my toys. I asked darsly why is there a lock on my toy room (she said OH I just need it to be clean because we have an inspection on the house) YEA RIGHT darsly. Then it was time for darsly to tell me the surprise because a photographer from the TAKE 5 MAGAZINE was at my house and I did not know why she was there. Darsly said to me - you know how Shannon Noll and I have a secret and I said yes what is it, well darsly said when you open that toy room door you will see a gift and that gift is from Shannon Noll. I said to darsly, is Shannon in the room(LOL), darsly said no he is not in the room but the thing in the room is a wonderful gift from Shannon. Darlsy gave me the key and I opened the door and I could not believe my eyes - there was a beautiful Drum Kit sitting in my room (darsly said) my eyes just bulged out of my head and my smile could not get any bigger. I just could not believe it. I kept saying - is this really from Shannon and darsly kept saying yes it is a wonderful gift from Shannon and then she told me about him getting upset when I said I practiced on four pillows. Darlsy said that as soon as he walked away to have a cry he rang up BillyHyde and ordered the drum kit for you and bought it him self.

I know Shannon is a great person because he is my mate, but this just blew me away. Shannon has 3 children of his own (two boys and a little baby girl) and he did this for me, what a wonderful kind hearted person you are Shannon.

The drum kit is beautiful and silver and a bit further down the page here you will see a picture of my drum teacher Andy and I will explain what he had to do with it.

Me & my best mate SHANNON NOLL

SHANNON is always reading my website and he knows already how appreciative I am at receiving this Drum Kit from him but I wanted just to say again and again what a great heart you have Shannon. There are so many celebrities out there who meet you and forget you straight away and don't care at all - but you SHANNON are the real deal and you have never forgotten me at all and you truly care and that means a lot to me and you will be my mate forever. Not many people can say they received a drum kit from Shannon Noll. I practice on my Drum Kit every single day and each time I think of Shannon and what a great person he is to do this for me. It is a gift from his heart and that makes a difference.

SHANNON has been my inspiration to keep fighting and the day I got to meet him and be mates made me see what a great man he truly is and I was more determined to keep fighting.

This photo is special, it is me and darsly mum, Shannon Noll and his wonderful manager having a chat and having a great day together.

I was so excited when I gave SHANNON one of my wristbands and T-Shirts, SHANNON put the band on straight away and as you can see in this photo SHANNON has the wristband on (how cool is that) . My wristbands say on them NEVER GIVE UP and Shannons new song is called DON'T GIVE UP so how cool is that. I want everyone to go out and buy Shannon Noll albums, just go visit his site aswell at Shannon Noll . When we were talking in Sydney I told him that I promote his albums and I have sold hundreds for him, he was so grateful I mention him and get the word out there about him and get people to buy his albums -he said keep up the great work mate. People overseas who did not know who Shannon is now thank me for introducing them to his music because they love it and can't get enough of it.

Darlsy mum - Shannon Noll - Jay

This is me and my darsly mum and Shannon having a great time in Sydney (me not knowing that darsly mum and Shannon were hiding a big secret).

JAY belting out a tune

I have not stopped practicing since I got the Drums and I will make Shannon real proud of me (maybe I can be the drummer in his band one day) that would be great.

ANDY belting out a tune

As you all know I have a famous drum teacher - it is the wonderful ANDY from the PETE MURRAY band here in Australia who is also good friends with Shannon Noll. Well even Andy knew about the secret and he didn't tell me. Andy is such a wonderful person as well and when the drum kit arrived darsly said that Andy came around to the house and spent the afternoon setting up the drum kit and tuning it for me (what a great person to do that). I was at school and had no idea that Andy was at my house. After he set up the drum kit darsly said he got on them and belted out a tune and darsly took this photo because she said that I would not believe her that Andy was here so she had to prove it to me. Thank you Andy for setting up my drums, not long now mate until drum lessons start again and I can't wait to see you .

Well everyone that is my secret - I know it might not seem that special to anyone else but it is very special to me. I don't have that many good things happen in my life and for Shannon to go out and buy me a drum kit is the most special thing that has happened to me. I don't have a lot and this Drum Kit from Shannon is the best thing I have ever got in my life.

Other things happening: Well it has been extreme heat hear in Melbourne so we have been going to the beach a lot. Trying to cool off has been hard because we have had very hot nights and it has been very hard to sleep . I went to the pictures to see CASINO ROYALE the 007 movie which I loved and darsly and I went to the drive inn to see FLUSHED AWAY on Wednesday night (the hot night) and it was so funny, I enjoyed it very much.

Health: I'm doing ok, although I still have the headaches. My spot on my spine at T-11 T12 is still there but I try not to think about what could happen and stay positive always and get on with trying to have fun in life and being thank full for the second chance at life I have.

Friends: I will be trying to get around to all my friends this week to give you all a message and cheer you all up. I have not been near the computer much because it has been far too hot to sit at the computer. When I can get on here I try to visit as many of you all as I can and if I miss you it doesn't mean I am not thinking of you all. I hope you are all smiling today (keep big SMILES ON YOUR DILES) each day and remember you can win and you never give up.

Neuroblastoma Awareness: Another thing I have to thank SHANNON NOLL for is that he has also given me the opportunity to get the word out there about Neuroblastoma. Shannon was so interested in my cause and asked me all about Neuroblastoma (what it was, and how he could help). To have someone like Shannon on my side to support me and Neuroblastoma awareness is the best. Raising money to find a cure is not easy, but I do my best with my Wristbands and T-Shirts and I thank all the people who have been buying them - keep it coming.

See you soon:- There is still 3 weeks of school holidays left - hopefully I will feel great for the next three weeks and will be able to do lots of things I can tell you about. Thanks everyone for all the great messages you leave for me and all the support it means a lot so don't forget before you leave please go to my guest book and let me know you have visited.

G'day it's Jay & Darlsy mum 2007

G'day everyone - I am in this weeks Wednesday 10th January TAKE 5 MAGAZINE - they held it over to issue 3. WOW can you believe it is 2007. The Photo above is me and darsly mum our first photo for 2007. SORRY I have not done a journal but it is school holidays here in Australia and because I have been feeling better I have been going out having lots of fun because our weather here has been very HOT and I mean HOT. NEW YEARS EVE darsly took me to the Fire Works in Melbourne - it was fantastic and there were a million other people in the city watching the fireworks. We went on the train - which was packed and took along our friends Judy and Kian (you can see the photo below) that is me and Kian.

(JAY & kian)

(Relaxing at the Beach)

**

The Survivor Movie(Who I am a True Survivor)

On Wednesday 3rd January we went to the beach (what a HOT day) we spent the entire day at the beach from 10am in the morning until 7pm that night. We had lots of fun while darsly just lay on the beach and sizzled. The temperature today got to 40 degrees and the beach was the place to be. The nights have been far too hot to sleep (yucky hot nights). We have also had many big fires here where we live and some Canadian Fire Fighters just arrived in Australia to help our fire fighters fight the fires. It will not be a big journal today as I want to keep a few things for my next journal (exciting stuff) and also it is too nice to be sitting indoors on a computer. This week is going to be a very HOT one - in the 40's all week so darsly and I will be going back to the beach.

(Shian - JAY - Caleb - Keegan)

These are my friends who came to the beach with me (Shian - JAY - Caleb - Keegan) we are sitting on the wall at the beach having a bit of a rest. We had been playing ball in the water and jumping the waves.

(Caleb - JAY - Shian - Keegan)

Best place to be - SITTING IN THE WATER - its a great beach where we go - it is so clean and lovely water - it is a HUGE beach with lots of sand banks so we can't go too deep.

(JAY & Keegan)
Time for some lunch - well CHIPS (LOL) Keegan is my mate and we have been doing lots of things in the holidays. See our beautiful beach (yea best country in the world Australia - great beaches, and this beach is not far from where we live (COOL HEY) .

(Darsly mum & JAY)

Darlsy mum wanted to take a photo - and she knows that I always pull a face - she asked me not to pull a face for this photo (LOL) gotacha darsly - she did not realize until she got home when she put the photo on the computer that I did the CROSS EYED face (LOL) COOL shot darsly.

WHY I CALL MY MUM DARSLY - NOW I have to explain once again why I call my DARSLY mum DARSLY . So many people keep asking still (LOL). Since I was really little from the time I could talk, I called my mum Darlsy - I suppose it is just like saying Darling but I could not say that when I was little I kept saying Darsly. I have never called my mum - mum - this is true, I always have and always will call my mum DARSLY because she is my DARLSY MUM. People always say to darsly (What did Jay just call you - and she says DARSLY -and they give her a funny look and she has to go through the explanation of what DARSLY is. SO - does everyone understand now what DARLSY is (LOL) .

TAKE 5 MAGAZINE - I am definitely in this weeks (Wednesday 10th) TAKE 5 MAGAZINE with the surprise Shannon Noll did for me so you in Australia will all Know and then all of my friends over seas I will put it up on my site by the end of the week.

MY WEBSITE MUSIC - Sorry you have not been able to hear my music on my site which is the Shannon Noll music. Some person out there HIGH JACKED my site with a pop up which took my music away (horrible nasty person) who has nothing better to do. Don't worry though - my music will be back real soon along with other great stuff (New Look) site for me in 2007. If anyone out there is having trouble getting into my site and my guest book please let me know of the problem by putting a private entry into the guest book or if you know my email address please email me and let me know so we can resolve the problems.

JAY running up the beach

NEUROBLASTOMA : Please help me in find a cure for Neuroblastoma. If you have never donated to anything before and you would like to - please donate to Neuroblastoma Research you will be helping to save the life of a child - and it is a good feeling when you do something so very simple. Fighting Neuroblastoma is hard, but for me doing something to raise money for Neuroblastoma Research is easy - I have T-TSHIRTS and WRISTBANDS which I created and sell them to raise money for NB research, I also run in TRY ATHLONS and get people to sponsor me and I collect that money for NB research. I have over the past year noticed more and more children being diagnosed with NB (with help from you out there) we can stop this, no child should have to fight this evil monster (Raising money to find a cure so no more children have to suffer)is my goal but I can't do it alone. If you don't know anything about Neuroblastoma please go to my site and click Neuroblastoma or here are some links which will give you information about NB New approaches to Neuroblastoma /Neuroblastoma info/ NEUROBLASTOMA/.

HEALTH - I am feeling a lot better than what I was that is why I have been getting out and having some fun - although I feel a bit better the headaches are still there but I try very hard not to let them bother me too much. At least I have stopped vomiting (hate that). Have some medical appointments coming up with my Oncology doctor and also trying once again to get some answers to the headache problem. I still have the spot which sits on my spinal cord at T-11 T12 - which sometimes bothers me as I think about sometimes as to what it could do (it could sit there for years or it could do the complete opposite and explode - it's just like a ticking time bomb and could go off at any stage. BUT I stay positive always and get on with life.

MUST GO NOW - Its just a short update for you today to let you know I am ok and to show you by beach photos - I will update again after the article comes out in the TAKE 5 MAGAZINE. As it is school holidays we are not home that much so will probably do 1 journal a week until I go back to school. Thanks everyone for all the wonderful messages, they means a lot to me. Please everyone lets make 2007 a great year - always keep a smile on your dile (face) live each day to the full and do something nice for someone else who is not as fortunate as you are.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007
*****
From JAY & BRON & SNOWFLAKE

G'DAY it's JAY

Please don't forget all you AUSSIES out there to buy "TAKE 5 MAGAZINE" on Wednesday 3rd January - I can't tell you yet the wonderful surprise I got - it will be revealed in the Take 5 Magazine on the 3rd January (and yes) Shannon Noll has something to do with it.

G'day everyone, I'm back and out of hospital and feeling a lot better. Thank you to all the people who were worried about me and sending lots of nice messages to cheer me up. Christmas did not turn out how we wanted and we had to wait to have Christmas when I got out of hospital, but that's ok. The pictures I put up today are belated Christmas ones taken after Christmas day (oh well). I started to get really sick the week before Christmas, I tried real hard not to be sick but I kept getting sicker. I did not want to be in hospital for Christmas and asked darsly mum to keep me home and take care of me - as she always does. I was vomiting continuously, I had very height temps of over 40 plus, severe headaches, sore stomach, sore throat, my entire body was aching. Darlsy took care of me at home until it got so bad I had to go to the hospital where I had lots of blood tests, X-Rays. Can you believe this - when the doctor finally came over to look at me he pulled up my shirt and he was shocked to see the big scars all over my body - he said OH my what are they from - I said to him I have Neuroblastoma, do you know what he said I could not believe it - he said WHAT (that word I hate) I said I have Neuroblastoma, and you know he did not know what it was. My darsly mum said to him - are you a doctor, he said yes, she then said and you don't' know what Neuroblastoma is - he said NO what is it. Darlsy then if you don't know what it is then you better not touch my son and get a doctor who knows what a serious illness is. Even the Nurse did not now what Neuroblastoma was and I had to explain it to the doctor and the nurse. Darlsy and I could not believe it but it is not the first time we have had to explain it to a doctor.

Jay - sick in hospital

After many tests, they were scatching their heads (as they do) and the doctor came and said I have Glandular Fever and Tonsillitis, so they were going to treat me for that. Then he came back and changed his mind and said NO they were not sure if it was that. Then they came back again and said yes I do have Glandular Fever and Tonsillitis (wish they would make up their minds). As my airways were blocked and I could not breath I was given an infusion through an IV to un block my airways and was given other medication through the IV. With the doctors still scrathing their heads, once again they come back and said they are uncertain as to whether or not I have Glandular Fever and Tonsillitis (this changing of minds went on and on). More tests were done and we are still unsure as to what I have (we are very much in the dark) as to my what is causing me to be so sick. Of course the symptoms were treated, but the cause is still not known. This is very frustrating and this type of thing has been going on all year, they treat the symptoms but don't' find the cause. It would be nice to know why I am continuously getting very sick through out 2006 but still no one can pin point anything so I have to continuously get sicker each time. Darlsy said it is like going through the first diagnosis of cancer again, this is how it was when the doctors could not find a cause to my illness and always said OH he will get over it he has just a little cold or something and that little cold they said I had turned out to be Neuroblastoma, so it is very frustrating for darlsy and for me as to why I have been so sick continuously this year - HEY Docs do I have to be half dead again for you to find the cause of my severe headaches, continual vomiting, and many pains.

After being stuck in the hospital - I was starting to feel a little better and no matter what I always had a big smile on the dile (face). I got to watch a DVD on the Starlight Foundation Entertainment Unit which was cool whilst I was having medication put through my IV. As you can see PORKA was also there (my best mate) he goes every where with me and has gone through everything I have over the years. As much as I was still not feeling well, I just wanted to get out of the hospital and go home. Still not knowing if I had Glanduar Fever or Tonsillitis (which in the end they ruled out) we are still non the wiser about why I am so sick and I just wantd to go home. The doc came around and I said to him, I wanna get out of here and go home , he said you have to stay a bit longer, I said I don't want to stay a bit longer I want to go home. Darlsy sits in the corner and says nothing now because she knows I do most of the talking now to the doctors and telling them how I feel and what I want. The doctor looked over at darsly mum and darlsy said don't look at me -Jay can speak for himself and he is telling you he wants to go home. Anyway we had to stay longer and then eventually I was aloud to get out of their, still non the wiser as to what they treated me for. I got home where little Snowflake was waiting for me and I went straight to bed as I was still not 100% but I did not tell the doctor that (ha ha). Darlsy takes care of me great at home and she knows every thing to do and she doesn't poke me with needles all the time. Darsly is going to speak to my Oncology doctor after New Year about me being sick all the time and see what he has to say. Have to wait though because he is on holidays still. Anyway I am feeling better now and I am sorry I worried everyone, I always bounce back, sickness can't keep me down for long.

Some great memories for me in 2006 (the ultimate memory) was meeting SHANNON NOLL and having him as my buddy for the day in Sydney when I received the Young Brave Heart Award. The greatest achievement for me in 2006 was being awarded the Young Brave Heart of the Year Award and also knowing I was recognized for my efforts into not only battling Neuroblastoma but for my efforts into raising awareness of Neuroblastoma and raising money for Research to find a cure for Neuroblastoma.
Reflecting on 2006: - Well I can say it was not the best year I have ever had and darsly mum and I will be glad to say goodbye to 2006 and say hello to 2007 and just hope 2007 will bring good things our way and good health. Over the past year I have made many many wonderful friends who I hold close to my heart. Many of my friends I have never met because you all live so far away from Australia. My friends consist of my little sick friends, the parents of my sick friends, and just normal everyday people who have always supported me and have continually taken the time to check on me and make sure I am ok. To all of you out there, I wish I could write to each and everyone of you, and I wish I could mention everyone's names, but you all know who you all are and your support has meant so much to me and I hope you will all continue to support me in 2007. Being sick for Christmas really put a dampener of darsly and my plans for Christmas but the good thing is I am feeling a lot better and I am going to bounce into 2007. Throughout 2006 I was sick a lot and had many days off school, but still I managed to get top marks in every subject and also I graduated which was a big achievement for me. Also darsly mum had to have major spinal surgery and still to this day she is in so much pain, but she soldiers on and does so many things and she does them all for me and she does them in pain. Just walking for darsly is painful and yes she has been riding a bike (in lots of pain) she did do a run with me (in horrific pain) everything she does is in pain but she never complains because she does it all for me. To the people/persons out there (who know who they are) who have placed nasty things in my guestbook about my darlsy mum - all I can say to you is - get off your butts and get a life because as much pain as my darsly mum is in she can do anything and no she is not aloud to work because she has not been given a clearance from the surgeon to do so. My darsly mum is a Fitness Instructor and the reason she is able to do the things she does after such a major spinal surgery is because she is so fit (for the critic out there) you try having the surgery my darlsy had and try doing the things my darsly does now and I bet you could not do them and I bet you would not be able to work either. Anyone who criticize my darsly mum I will speak out about it because you have no idea what it is like for darsly and me.

PURPOSE: The purpose of my site is because I have had a hard life, this life involves also my darsly mum who has also had a hard life. We tell our life to the world to try and help others see that you can get through tough times and you can survive no matter what. My purpose is to get the awareness out there about Neuroblastoma, to have everyone know what Neuroblastoma is and to hopefully get just one person to donate to Neuroblastoma Research so a cure can be found to this horrible cancer so no other child has to suffer like me and hundreds of others. In 2007 I will continue to seel my T-Shirts and Wristbands for Neuroblastoma Research, I will continue to give hope to others who find it very tough and to let them know you Never Give Up because there is always hope. I will continue to cheer up my little friends who are doing it tough and if I can do that with a simple message then I know I have done a good thing. Lets all get together and do something great in 2007, something for someone else, it a wonderful thing to be able to help someone who is doing it tough and it gives you a great feeling. In 2007 each and everyday give your loved ones a hug, give a stranger a hug, tell you loved ones you love them everyday - it is such a simple thing to do and it costs nothing to do it and it is something you should treasure each and everyday because you don't know what tomorrow will bring. No one knows the future - all we know is when we wake up in the morning we have been given one more day on this earth and you should make the most of each and everyday and live it to the full. For me being given a second chance at life has been a life changing experience for me - please don't take each day for granted because you just never know.
